By accessing our website or booking any of our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.

Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1. Use of Website & Services

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use our website or book a service.
  • All information provided during booking must be accurate, current, and complete.
  • You agree not to misuse our website or engage in any unlawful activity while using our services.

2. Booking & Cancellations

  • Bookings must be made online through our website or an authorised representative.
  • You may cancel or reschedule a booking free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled time.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled service may incur a fee of 50% of the booking value.
  • If our team is unable to access the property upon arrival (e.g. no key, no response), the full booking fee will apply.

3. Pricing & Payments

  • All pricing is clearly displayed at the time of booking.
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • We accept all major credit/debit cards and bank transfers.
  • Failed or delayed payments may result in cancellation or suspension of your booking.
  • We reserve the right to pre-authorise your payment method before service delivery.

4. Service Delivery

  • We aim to deliver high-quality cleaning services in line with the booking details.
  • Clients must ensure safe and reasonable access to the premises at the agreed time.
  • For standard cleaning, we may require use of your basic equipment and supplies unless agreed otherwise.
  • For specialist services (e.g. end-of-tenancy, carpet cleaning), our team will bring all required products and equipment.

5. Satisfaction Guarantee

  • We offer a 48-hour re-clean guarantee for qualifying services.
  • If you are unsatisfied, notify us within 48 hours and we will arrange a complimentary re-clean of the affected areas.
  • This guarantee does not apply to pre-existing damage or issues outside the scope of the booked service.

6. Liability

  • Shyft Clean is not liable for pre-existing damage, items requiring specialist care, or valuables left unsecured.
  • Clients are responsible for disclosing any fragile, high-risk, or delicate items prior to the clean.
  • We carry public liability insurance; however, all claims are subject to fair use and policy limits.

7. Independent Contractors

  • Shyft Clean may assign your service to self-employed or subcontracted cleaners.
  • Your service agreement is directly with the assigned cleaner, while Shyft Clean acts as a facilitator and quality controller.
  • You agree not to contract directly with any Shyft Clean cleaner outside of our platform for 3 months following your last booking.

8. Health & Safety

  • Cleaners have the right to refuse service if the environment is deemed unsafe, unhygienic, or poses a health risk.
  • We also reserve the right to cancel or reschedule bookings under such conditions without liability.

9. Property Access

  • It is the client’s responsibility to provide access to the property at the scheduled time.
  • If entry is not possible and the cleaner cannot carry out the service, the full fee may still be charged.

10. Promotions & Referral Use

  • Promotional codes and referral offers are valid for one-time use per household unless otherwise specified.
  • Discounts cannot be combined or redeemed for cash and may be withdrawn at any time without notice.
  • Referral codes must not be used for commercial promotion (e.g. ad platforms, coupon sites) and may be deactivated for misuse.

11. Events Beyond Our Control

Shyft Clean is not liable for delays or failure to deliver services caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Severe weather
  • Illness
  • Strikes or industrial actions
  • Public emergencies
  • Internet or utility outages

12. Refunds & Disputes

  • Refunds are only issued where services cannot be completed and no suitable resolution is possible.
  • Any complaints must be submitted within 48 hours of service.
  • We aim to resolve all disputes fairly and promptly and may act as a mediator when necessary.

13. Data Protection

  • We process all client data in accordance with the UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy.
  • Your information is stored securely and only used to manage your bookings and communication.

14. Amendments

  • We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on this page.
  • Continued use of our website or services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
